The SG41 interlayer for safety glazing provides a mechanism for the reduction of the percentage of solar heat penetrating the glass panes yet allowing for a natural cooling of buildings during the night. It is designed for use in the production of laminated glass panes for the purpose of solar radiation control.

It is a very effective product of increased solar heat gain performance, with high visible light transmittance, as compared to monolithic glass and laminated glass made with "regular" interlayers.

The SG41 "solar" interlayer is specifically designed for architectural constructions and meets the safety rules for glass panes, when properly selected. It also provides excellent durability to the safety glazing pane when exposed to natural wear.

It should be noted that VASGLASS offers SG41 laminated glass panes certified according to the architectural European security standards EN 12600 and EN 356.

SG41 is a membrane of new solar absorbent technology, which can be used either on its own or in combination with other membranes or with coated glass in a laminated glass system, or it can be used in a double insulating pane with the aforementioned components.

Designed for outdoor use, specifically targeted for purchases requiring any form of solar radiation control. It is ideal for use in applications for safety glazing where the total thickness of the glass is limited or a double insulating glass cannot be used, with a nominal light output of 74% and a solar heat gain coefficient of 0.55.
